Gerard Butler: He has two new action films in the works

Gerard Butler obviously can't get enough of action: He is working on two new hits.

Hollywood star Gerard Butler (50) actually wanted to shoot fewer action films. At least in November 2019, shortly before his 50th birthday, he recorded this in an interview with the news agency spot on news. But now the native of Scotland apparently has two action cracks in the making: a fourth part of his "Fallen" series and a second part of "Criminal Squad".

"Given everything that's going on, we need him," Butler told US Entertainment Weekly of Mike Banning, the main character he embodied in the previous three parts, Olympus Has Fallen (2013), London Has Fallen "(2016) and" Angel Has Fallen "(2019). "I think we'll see another part," added the 50-year-old. Butler did not want to reveal any more details.

"Funny exit"

At the same time, Butler is working with filmmaker Christian Gudegast (50) on another action flick, the second part of "Criminal Squad": "We are currently working on the script and I get new pages from Christian every day," says Butler. The successor to the crime drama from 2018 is said to have a "European atmosphere" this time: "It is a trip from North America to Europe to the diamond district of Marseille", Butler reveals some details about the plot.

It is not yet clear when the two films will come to the cinema.
