The nominations for the “German Television Award 2021” have been made. Right at the front: “Oktoberfest 1900” and “Para – We are King”.

The jury has announced the nominations for the 22nd German Television Prize. A wide variety of productions from the world of TV, film and series as well as filmmakers can hope for an award in a total of 28 categories. “Oktoberfest 1900” and “Para – Wir sind King” have been nominated five times each – and thus the most frequently.

Nomination from the field of fiction

“Oktoberfest 1900” competes against “The Secret of the Forest of the Dead” and “The Dead of Marnow” in the category “Best Multi-Part”. In addition, Mišel Matičević (51) can hope to be honored as “Best Actor”. He has to prevail against Matthias Brandt (59), Sascha Alexander Geršak (46), Charly Hübner (48) and Bjarne Mädel (53).

The series “Para – Wir sind King”, which is to have a second season, has meanwhile been nominated for “Best Drama Series” alongside “Unbroken” and “We are now”. Soma Pysall (25) is also entering the race for “Para” as “Best Actress”. Next to her are nominated: Lisa-Marie Koroll (23), Claudia Michelsen (52), Petra Schmidt-Schaller (41) and Aylin Tezel (37). “Best TV film” can be “Jackpot”, “Das Unwort” and “Forever Summer 90”.

Entertainment and information

In the “Best Entertainment Show” category, “The Great Terra X Show”, “Take Me Out” and “Who is Stealing the Show?” for a prize, while Daniel Hartwich (43), Andrea Kiewel (56) and Ralf Schmitz (46) are nominated in “Best Moderation / Individual Performance in Entertainment”. Meanwhile, the formats “Frontal”, “Markus Lanz” and “Panorama” are competing for the prize in the “Best Information” category.

Joko Winterscheidt (42) can not only talk about the nomination of his show “Who is stealing the show from me?” be happy. Together with Klaas Heufer-Umlauf (37), he earned airtime for two special programs in “Joko & Klaas gegen ProSieben”, which were nominated in the “Best Infotainment” category. Here, “Joko & Klaas 15 minutes: Men’s Worlds” and “Joko & Klaas – Live: Care is # Not Of course” against “RTL Special – Attack on our children and what WE can do about it!” at.

An overview of all nominations is available on the website of the “German Television Prize”. The award ceremony will take place on September 16 as an open-air event in Cologne and will be broadcast on the same evening by RTL from 8.15 p.m. Barbara Schöneberger (47) will moderate.
