(Boursier.com) — The German government anticipates a contraction of the national economy of 0.4% in 2023. Berlin, which in April forecast growth of 2.2% this year, is only betting on an increase in the GDP by 1.4%, reports ‘Reuters’, quoting a person close to the state. Inflation would reach an average of 7.9% in 2022 and 8% in 2023! The Economy Ministry spokesman told the agency that “there are no definitive figures yet”. But this data clearly does not bode well for the euro zone’s largest economy.
