The current season of "Deutschland sucht den Superstar" will be shortened by three episodes. The recalls will start on February 13th.

The music casting show "Deutschland sucht den Superstar" will be shortened by three episodes in the current season. This was confirmed by an RTL spokeswoman for the "Bild" newspaper. There will be "two casting programs and a recall program" less, they said. "DWDL.de" also reported on it.

The recall will start on February 13th and "DSDS" will only be shown once a week, on Saturdays at 8:15 pm. But the program is to be extended: "One reason is that we want to concentrate completely on the Saturday we have learned and strengthen it. Therefore, DSDS is being extended here."

The current season hit the headlines mainly because of the quarrels surrounding Michael Wendler (48). The former juror was most recently cut or made illegible after "completely unsustainable statements".
