Surprise at “Germany’s Next Top Model”: Six new models join in eight episodes, five of them are so-called Best Agers.

Anyone who has wondered where the adult women are staying on “Germany’s Next Top Model” (Thursday, 8:15 p.m., ProSieben) this year will now get their answer: They were busy with visas and quarantine! In the eighth episode, six new model candidates join the group, five of whom are in their 40s.

These are the new ones on “Germany’s Next Top Model”

Charlene (52), Ina (44), Maike (23), Marielena (52), Nicole (49) and Zuzel (50) surprise the girls, for whom the top 10 is a long way off again. Not everyone is enthusiastic. “I think that’s super unfair to us,” cries 19-year-old Anya.

In order to remain “fair”, the newcomers have to master three tasks that the other models have also completed in the last few episodes: a topless sedcart shoot, a sexy walk in underwear and an extravagant walk in Yannik Zamboni’s outfits. We remember: That was the designer who expected his models to trample across the catwalk with their legs apart.

An old friend of Heidi’s

Everyone except Anya cheers the new models on during the shoot, celebrating their pictures and handing out compliments. Nicole, who is a former model colleague of Heidi Klum (49) and who even lived with the model mom in a flat share in Milan at the beginning of her career, is particularly convincing. Nicole receives compliments from showmaster Heidi for both her sexy walk and the scary walk.

Two of the models are going straight home

Zuzel and Charlene, on the other hand, cannot convince the “Germany’s Next Top Model” boss. They have to go straight back home, while the other four stragglers are allowed to move into the villa.

Then the other girls have to do it again. Guest star Coco Rocha (34) prepares the models for a particularly wacky walk, which requires creativity above all. It should look neither sexy nor elegant, but instead funny and comical. According to the Canadian model, the aim of the challenge is: “Feel free and take a risk”.

This is a blessing for the viewers of the ProSieben show, because the models are actually creative: they crawl, wriggle and wobble down the catwalk, sometimes looking for terrifying zombies, sometimes for a cute penguin and sometimes for Johnny Depp (59 ) as Hunter S. Thompson on LSD in “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas”.

GNTM goes expression walk

The walk the next day, in which the women compete against each other in a direct duel, becomes a logical meeting point for expressive dance and improvisational theatre. Coco (21) impresses with a split, Katherine (20) runs with her tongue hanging out, Somajia (21) looks like a tadpole in the wind tunnel and then runs screaming at the judges. Anya runs backwards, Selma (18) squirms in an imaginary straitjacket and Anna-Maria (24) puts on a whole play: first she stumbles around completely confused, then she drags herself forward crying in despair, finally she staggers drunkenly down the catwalk . Heidi also enjoys the challenge until she realizes that her laughter could also have a negative effect. “Oh, I got two more wrinkles today,” she worries.

This model is leaving the house

As the worst, Leona (19) and Mirella (20) have to compete directly against each other in the “Final Battle”. Mirella throws herself on the ground and crawls ten meters with seemingly the last of her strength – with success. Because Leona has to go, but probably no participant has resisted her departure that much. “I can’t go now!” She begs Heidi and collapses in the arms of the other participants with the words “It doesn’t make sense, I don’t understand it”.
