Netanyahu hopes he and Biden can overcome their differences

WASHINGTON, May 9 (Reuters) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he hoped he and the U.S. president could overcome their differences over the war in Gaza after Joe Biden decided to withhold some military aid to Israel.

“We often agree, but we have had our differences. We have managed to overcome them. I hope we will succeed this time, but we will do what is necessary to protect our country,” Benjamin said Netanyahu. (Costas Pitas and Eric Beech; French version Camille Raynaud)
