Before the “GNTM” final show on Thursday, a positive corona test throws the models through the bill. What changes?

The “Germany’s next top model” final cannot take place on Thursday (May 27) as originally planned. In spite of the corona pandemic, the “Top 20” models of the show should, as usual, walk the catwalk in addition to the four finalists in the final show. But a positive corona test among the girls thwarted the plans. Can the final still take place?

The one who tested positive is not one of the finalists, but a previously eliminated candidate, as the station ProSieben confirmed via Twitter. The girl concerned went into quarantine immediately and the direct contacts were isolated in consultation with security experts. So far none of the other girls show symptoms. According to ProSieben, a cancellation of the final show is not planned, but the appearance of all candidates will not take place due to the Corona case. “As a precautionary measure, we decided to celebrate the final this year only with the finalists,” the broadcaster wrote on Twitter.

It was previously announced that until today, Monday (May 24), finalist Alex could only participate in the rehearsals via live stream for health reasons. And Heidi Klum (47) is also saddened by the incident. The model mom wrote on Instagram: “Preparations for the ‘Germany’s next top model’ finale. Unfortunately, things don’t always go the way you want them to. And today is one of those days.”
