A second’s inattention ended in tragedy at Tumeltsham. A 36-year-old woman was killed when her small car crashed head-on into a truck.
Shortly after 8 p.m., as already reported on krone.at, a small car collided with a truck near Tumeltsham and one person died in the car. In the meantime, the police have been able to reconstruct the course of the accident. A 36-year-old Hungarian had been the driver of the car and had gotten over the middle of the lane when entering the B141 on a ramp. Why will probably never be explained. The oncoming 31-year-old truck driver from Moldova had no chance of avoiding the collision. The car was completely demolished and the passenger compartment was crushed. While the truck driver was taken to the hospital in shock but otherwise unharmed, the driver died at the scene of the accident.
