From Monday January 8, 2024M6 will broadcast the portraits of the fifteen farmers ready to find their soul mate thanks to Love is in the meadow. Among them, Gilles, 69 years old, retired ex-breeder living in Pays de la Loire, challenged the web. Retired for four years, the sixty-year-old is waiting to experience a beautiful love story with a capital A. Joyful and mischievous, the man nicknamed “Gillou” is the happy father of three daughters of whom he is very proud. A widower for 19 months, Gilles wants to find a woman who will accompany him until his last breath.
In the video portrait of the candidate broadcast on the Instagram account of Love is in the meadowthis last mentioned his wife Françoise with whom he lived “fifteen, sixteen years old.” Karine Le Marchand asked Gilles if his wife had authorized it “From up there” to find a companion. “She said to me, ‘I want you to rebuild your life.’ Because she knew I wasn’t meant to be alone.” the farmer told the host. He added : “It was liver cancer” evoking the illness that took her away.

Karine Le Marchand: her secrets about the last season
Between abandonments and unexpected crushes, season 18 was full of surprises. But now, at the end of this adventure, only one couple remained after the filming: that of Justine and Patrice. Guest of the show C to you on France 5, on November 24, Karine Le Marchand returned to this disappointing assessment. “A disaster ! You haven’t noticed: around me, it’s the year of separations. I’m trying to find an explanation. We’ve never had that in the history of Love Is in the Meadow!” she declared on the television set. In response to the host’s comments, Mohamed Bouhafsi blamed this year’s casting and farmers: “You have decided [de donner] advice for candidates [de] season 19, [en leur demandant] a little more seriousness, and less cads.”. To which Karine Le Marchand replied: “But that’s not it! They’re super nice to me, but if we put cameras in each of us, I assure you that we would laugh and that there are reflections […]we’d be like “oh my God, that’s not possible.”“. Before concluding : “It turns out that we couldn’t have suspected that they were going to be like that during the period of seduction. But there are cads who find the right fit!” .
