Your Gmail inbox contains valuable messages that may contain passwords, contracts or other sensitive data. This is also known to cybercriminals, which is why they will do everything they can to hack your account. They are currently using malware that leaves no traces.

The malicious tool used for the attack is called Hyperscrape. Before it can be used, however, the hackers must know your password. Google’s Threat Analysis Group (TAG) assumes that attackers use phishing emails to obtain your login data. If they have access, they can use Hyperscrape to read and download your emails. Unread mails are also marked in this way again after access, so that you do not become suspicious.

Also interesting…

To keep your emails safe, all you have to do is avoid phishing emails. As long as the hackers do not have your access data, they cannot cause any damage. We advise you not to even open e-mails from strangers and under no circumstances to click on any documents or links contained in them. A good antivirus program with phishing detection and two-factor authentication offer you additional protection.
