GNTM 2020: That's why a girl leaves the show voluntarily

"A model without a job is not a model," explains Heidi Klum (46) right at the start of the program. This week she wants to see how competitive the candidates are in the real world. To prove this, the girls have to master six castings. In addition to a beauty campaign for the got2b hair product brand, there are prospects for appearances at Berlin Fashion Week, in the fashion shows by Marcel Ostertag, Anja Gockel, Killian Kerner, Levis and Wolfgang Joop.

Anastasia (20) is particularly popular with customers. "Interesting look, interesting walk," says Marcel Ostertag, for example, and books the Berliner directly. The 20-year-old with the black bob can also leave the competition behind when casting for Anja Gockel. "The others are nice, but the butcher on the corner is nice too," the designer explains her decision.

This candidate voluntarily leaves "GNTM"

There is a lot of criticism for Johanna (20). Again and again the young Curvy model fails because of its lack of charisma and weak walk. In the end, however, the parcel carrier from Remseck in Baden-Württemberg still has reason to celebrate: With her down-to-earth, natural nature, she can convince the Levis jeans brand. The girls are under increasing pressure; even the otherwise so confident Lijana (23) has doubts. "In the end, it's not enough," she sobs into the camera. In the end, however, she gets a place on the Killian Kerner show.

Meanwhile, Mareike (24) loses the desire for a career on the catwalk or in front of the camera. "It's not my thing," explains the girl with the many tattoos. Without further ado, she decides to leave the show. She is homesick for her boyfriend and family. "I notice how it emotionally wears me out." Thus, the number of candidates with this episode is reduced from 15 to 13, because just because Mareike leaves voluntarily does not mean that Klum and the jury will not send anyone home.

If it hits this week, Klum advises with catwalk trainer Nikeata Thompson (39) and the British designer Christian Cowan, who has already equipped stars like Jennifer Lopez (50, "Manhattan Queen") and Cardi B (27) and his clothes present the candidates in a private fashion show. Not all of them show their best side: Julia F. (20) plucks again and again on her dress, a pink mini with puffed sleeves – a disaster for the designer, as Thompson later notes. The fate of the bald headed pig from Frankfurt is sealed; she has to pack her bags this week.
