Thanks to Helena Zengel and the miniseries "Unorthodox", Germany too can dream of the Golden Globes on February 28, 2021.

When the Golden Globe Awards are presented on February 28, it is also worth taking a look at the USA from a German perspective. Thanks to "Systemsprenger" star Helena Zengel (12) and the miniseries "Unorthodox". According to the nominations, which were announced on February 3rd, there are two prizes.

At just twelve years of age, Zengel has finally arrived at the dream factory. She is nominated in the category "Best Supporting Actress in a Film" for her part in "News of the World" alongside Tom Hanks (64). The competition couldn't be more prestigious: Also nominated are Glenn Close (73, "Hillbilly Elegy"), Olivia Colman (47, "The Father"), Jodie Foster (58, "The Mauritanian") and Amanda Seyfried (35, " Deficiency ").

Another prize for "Unorthodox"?

Thanks to the miniseries "Unorthodox", Maria Schrader (55) was already able to cheer at the Primetime Emmy Awards last year. In September she was the first ever female German director to receive an Emmy. At the Golden Globes, "Unorthodox" enters the race for the "Best Miniseries". "The Queen's Gambit", "The Undoing", "Small Ax" and "Normal People" must be left behind on February 28th.
