This Kobo Libra H2O has all the features that the Kobo Forma or Kindle Oasis can offer, but at a lower price. It is all the same a little more expensive than the Kindle Paperwhite which is close to it and which also benefits from the striking force of Amazon for the bookstore. A simplified interface, accompanied by reading comfort – especially for the eyes – makes this new Kobo appeal to us. It remains to be seen what Kobo can offer even better next time…

This Kobo Clara 2 E is a good reader in its 6-inch category, thanks in particular to its quality HD screen, its ease of use, its backlighting and its rather well-stocked online library. Its function dedicated to audio books seems a bit of a gadget knowing that the mobile application is more suitable. Only its introductory price (150 €) challenges, especially against the 140 € of the Kindle Paperwhite whose screen is larger (6.8 inches) and which offers a night mode, without forgetting its IPX8 certification (waterproof); another potential competitor, the Vivlio Touch HD Plus (€139) with a 6-inch screen, anti-blue light function, waterproof and also compatible with audiobooks.
