Good deal – The Abus Hyban 2.0 White “4 stars” bike helmet at €39.99 (-11%)

A true benchmark for urban helmets from the German brand Abus, the Hyban has evolved into version 2.0 with a refined design and improved ventilation. What confirms its status as a safe bet.

Well built, well equipped and obtaining a good score in the Certimoov safety test, despite the absence of special protection technology, the Abus Hyban 2.0 does not suffer from any particular fault, apart from its rather high weight. It’s a good headset that has the merit of remaining affordable and comes in many colors to satisfy the greatest number.

Strong points

  • Easy to put on and adjust.
  • Good manufacturing quality.
  • Good ventilation.
  • Built-in led light.
  • Anti-insect net.

Weak points

NB: The reported price drop is calculated by comparing the lowest price of the day with the average of the lowest prices charged by all merchants for the product last month, with security rules to exclude prices from shops whose the VAT policy is not clear (known as “grey” shops, typically in the case of imports from China).

Alternatively

The Decathlon Btwin Bol 500 is a successful helmet for urban use and in moderate to cold temperatures. On the other hand, it lacks ventilation for the hot weather. Too bad this helmet gets mixed results when it comes to protection. Its quality/price ratio remains interesting despite everything, even without discount.
