Good deal – The DeWalt DCD795D2-QW “5-star” drill driver at €179.00 (-18%)

DeWalt is mainly aimed at building professionals, but a model of impact drill/driver like the DCD795 can be ideal for an amateur DIYer. Its characteristics promise a very versatile machine.

The DeWalt DCD795D2-QW impact drill driver is very efficient with its motor brushless. This machine is versatile and allows you to work without problems in wood, steel and masonry. A very serious competitor to the Bosch Professional GSB 18V-55, very slightly less efficient, but a little more compact.

Strong points

  • Very solid performance.
  • Finishes.
  • Getting started.
  • Inverter precision.
  • Good autonomy.
  • Less noisy than the competition.

Weak points

  • Could have been more compact.
  • A little play in fixing the batteries.

NB: The reported price drop is calculated by comparing the lowest price of the day with the average of the lowest prices charged by all merchants for the product last month, with security rules to exclude the prices of stores whose the VAT policy is not clear (so-called “gray” stores, typically in the case of imports from China).

Alternatively

The BL188 impact drill driver from Black+Decker is very efficient overall. It constitutes a first-class screwdriver and a satisfactory drill, especially in masonry. It’s a shame that the finishes weren’t a little more careful, because that would have made it an ideal machine.
