Only a year and a half after an already insanely attractive first-generation Oculus Quest, the Quest 2 is having the effect of a real bombshell in the virtual reality headset market. Not content with bringing some very welcome ergonomic improvements to its predecessor, it also achieves a real generational leap from a technical point of view. And as if that weren’t enough yet, it takes advantage of the immense improvements made to the Oculus Link mode to establish itself not only as the best standalone VR headset ever, but also as an excellent headset for PC, in all respects equivalent or better. to the Oculus Rift S. And all this for 100 € less than the Quest 1? Definitely, it’s Christmas!

Sony’s first attempt at virtual reality is a success due to a few arguments: an ultra-comfortable headset, easy to install and use, which offers a pleasant experience, despite a rather tight technical sheet. The Japanese manufacturer has decided to reuse old technologies (PS Move, PS Camera) somewhat neglected, but which find their place here, even if the controllers deserve to be more precise. So yes, the games are for the most part pretty disappointing graphically, especially compared to what the PS4 is usually capable of releasing, but the point is, immersion works 100%, and that is the most important thing.
