The problem ? A new vulnerability has been discovered in Google Chrome and once again it has been found to be exploited for malicious purposes. But the good news is that a fix exists. Just update the web browser. As much as possible, it is recommended not to delay the installation of the patch, in order not to attract possible trouble.
Google Chrome is an excellent program, but it is often subject to computer flaws – like many other software. In 2021, the browser must have received no less than thirteen disaster patches, because each time a critical breach had been identified. And since the beginning of 2022, we are already on the third patch pushed urgently to Internet users.
These incidents do not necessarily mean that Google is less secure than other browsers, such as Firefox or Edge. This frequency is above all a sign that Chrome is a browser particularly targeted, because it is widely used in the world, with a rate of use beyond 60% – even 70% according to certain measurement tools. .
How to Update Google Chrome
To update the browser:
- Launch the browser,
- Go to the top right of the screen, via the vertical ellipsis.
- Click on it, go to the “Help” line, then “About Google Chrome”.
- On the new page, you will be able to read the version number installed on your computer.
- If you’re already up to date, the browser won’t do anything special. Otherwise, the update will start;
