The next title from WB Games Montreal and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Gotham Knights, is due out at the end of October. Many players expected or hoped for a narrative twist on Batman’s death in Gotham Knights. However, the game’s creative director, Patrick Redding, recently confirmed the absence of the Dark Knight. As reported by IGN reporters, during a Q&A at San Diego Comic Con, Patrick Redding said that Batman ” is really dead “.
Moreover, he indicated that Joker didn’t appear in Gotham Knights, no more. Finally, Patrick Redding did not want to comment on the presence or absence of Harley Quinn. Thus, we may see and meet Harley Quinn in Gotham Knights, but nothing is less certain at present.
As a reminder, Gotham Knights is intended to be an action-RPG offering an open world. Players will be able to embody different characters, namely Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin or even Red Hood.
