An expected bonus. The inflation compensation promised by the Government since September 15 should arrive very soon in the letterboxes of 38 million French people. This € 100 check is a financial bonus intended for low-income households, to help them offset the increases in consumer prices in recent months: gas, electricity, fuel, etc.
This Tuesday, November 30, the Ministry of Ecological Transition unveiled the payment schedule of this aid to purchasing power. And not everyone will have it at the same time. The first departments should receive it between December 13 and December 17. This is particularly the case for the departments of Île-de-France, Normandy, Brittany, Rhône-Alpes and even Deux-Sèvres. For the rest of Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Bas-Rhin, Occitanie and the Paca region, it will be necessary to wait until December 20 and 22. As a reminder, this bonus is intended for people from the middle classes, receiving less than 2,000 euros net per month, regardless of their status: scholarship students, retirees, self-employed people or civil servants.
A bonus that was almost canceled
Adopted first in the National Assembly, it had not received the approval of the senators. The reason ? The majority of the Senate, held by The Republicans, considered that this device was “poorly targeted” and “unsuitable”. Returned to the deputies, this measure was finally adopted. A nice boost before the holidays for beneficiary households.
