The considerable wait around GTA 6 might be shorter than expected. The potential good news comes to us more or less directly from Rockstar itself!
The legendary studio working on the already legendary GTA 6 recently published a new job offer. This leaves us with the prospect of a not-so-distant release for the blockbuster awaited by millions of players. We go through the offer to see what it is.
GTA 6 release closer than ever?
To say that the wait for GTA 6 is colossal is an understatement. As we write these lines, the very first trailer (visible below) presenting the very impressive game engine in action is close to 180 million views. The next episode of Rockstar Games’ cult franchise is already off to a flying start. The only downside: an exit that we considered quite far away. Several sources had agreed on a deployment on PS5 and Xbox Series
And for once, this doesn’t come from a major leak! The studio has indeed shared a job offer for a position at its premises in Lincoln, United Kingdom. Rockstar Games is therefore looking for “ talented translation testers, passionate about languages and game translation “. More precisely, the offer focuses on translation into Russian. This is a fixed-term contract lasting 12 months. The translator’s mission will be “ to carry out a QA translation to ensure that the quality of the final product is as high as possible “. Since the only project in progress that is sufficiently advanced at Rockstar is none other than GTA 6, this offer is rather meaningful.
The highly anticipated game seems almost finished
In game development, the translation part is usually one of the last steps before release. That Rockstar is looking for translators for a period of one year is therefore a very good sign in this sense. It appears unlikely that the studio will let these fixed-term employees leave if the work is not fully completed. This would involve hiring another person to continue testing the previous incumbent’s translation work.
It therefore appears quite likely that the highly anticipated GTA 6 will arrive on our consoles during the first or second quarter of 2025.
