Ellen Pompeo, who played Meredith Gray for almost 18 years, will make her big comeback in the last two episodes of season 19 of “Grey’s Anatomy”, broadcast this Wednesday evening on TF1.
The last episode of season 19 of Grey’s Anatomy marks the long-awaited reunion of Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Nick (Scott Speedman), who left a few episodes earlier on very bad terms.
While she was on the plane to go to Boston with her family, Nick called her to confess his feelings and tell her that he loved her. This declaration of love was received coldly by Meredith who pretended not to hear him and answered him that she would call him back once he was settled in Boston.
And since then, it was radio silence. Nick, who had left his life in Minnesota to join her in Seattle, had no further news from Meredith.
In the final two episodes of Season 19 of Grey’s Anatomy, Nick, Webber, Catherine, Bailey, Amelia and Winston travel to Boston to attend the Catherine Fox Award ceremony, at which some of them are nominated.
The opportunity for Nick to find Meredith and finally be able to clarify their relationship, and reconcile. But with Meredith in Boston and Nick in Seattle, it’s going to be interesting to see how the writers handle their romance.
Will they try to pursue a long distance relationship or will Nick move to Boston? We will have to wait for season 20, which has already been ordered by the channel, to have an answer.
Ellen Pompeo’s Big Frustration
During the show Actors on Actorshosted by Variety, Ellen Pompeo explained that one of her biggest frustrations following her departure from Grey’s Anatomy was the relationship between Nick and Meredith.
“Even after all this time, Meredith can’t figure out how to make a relationship work.”, she explained to Katherine Heigl, who played Izzie Stevens in the first seasons of the medical series.
Season 20 of Grey’s Anatomy may allow Ellen Pompeo to conclude her love affair with Nick as she sees fit. Because if the actress left the medical series, she did not hide her desire to return for a few episodes in the next seasons.
“I should make appearances next year if I can find the time“, she explained to her former co-star. “These are not final farewells. I think we still have a very interesting story to tell.”
