GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition: Nintendo Switch version release date announced

Since mid-December, PlayStation and Xbox players have been able to (re)engage in the GTA adventure, with the release of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, including the remastered titles GTA III, GTA: Vice City and GTA: San Andreas. Unfortunately, if the Nintendo Switch version were to be released at this same time, it was postponed to a later date. A date that we now know.

Indeed, the announcement, revealing the new release date for Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition on Nintendo Switch, is very recent: the appointment is thus fixed for next February 11. Note, however, the mention ” web download required on the dust jacket. This means that players will have to download part of the data via their internet connection and that all the files of the three opuses do not seem to be present on the game cartridge.

However, according to the latest information shared and the various known details, this mention is somewhat confusing. The game’s page on the Nintendo eShop seems to indicate that the three GTA games in this edition weigh around 22 GB. However, a Nintendo Switch cartridge is capable of holding just over 30 GB of files. Updates could also be in the game, which would not be refused given the first feedback on the PS4 and Xbox One versions of this edition.

Thus, the players ask themselves several questions: is it really a physical version? Or a mainly digital edition? Questions that will only be answered at the beginning of February, or more precisely on the 11th, with the official release of GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition on Nintendo Switch.
