Guido Maria Kretschmer also knows: the winter was long. That’s why he’s now revealed to us two colors that bring out the best in us even when we’re pale – and with which we can slowly dare to wear colorful fashion again.

When what felt like the first rays of sunshine of the year peeked through the cloud cover over the last few days and even drove them away completely at times, we could hardly believe our squinted eyes. And despite all the glare, people raised their heads symmetrically towards the sun – oh, how we missed them!

Not only do our eyes have to get used to the rays again, but also our skin. Because the winter was a long one – and not just mentally. And since the last vacation was probably some time ago due to the pandemic, we have acquired a very, let’s call it a forgiving, “winter” complexion over the last few months.

That’s why we don’t need to shy away from the colorful spring fashion in the shop windows. Guido Maria Kretschmer also experienced the tough winter – and, empathetic as he is, now has a few tips to help you gently get used to the new trends. The designer already told us in the interview: it’s going to be colorful! However, he also revealed how we carefully approach the color spectrum of the rainbow without being overwhelmed by its brightness.

Especially at the beginning of spring, many people still feel a little pale around the nose. That’s why you no longer have to hide in dark tones. Guido recommends two colors that “even work if you have pale skin.” And those would be: “For example, Campari or such beautiful mauve tones. You can do a lot with that.”

Campari? That definitely sounds like summer! Sure, it’s striking – but combined with a suitable lipstick and otherwise rather subtle make-up, the tone can look good on us even if we still have a bit of winter paleness on our face. If you prefer to venture into the colorful season slowly, choose wild mallow. Mauve tones have been on the rise since last year and can be wonderfully carried into the next season.

By the way, Guido has another tip for getting used to colors: start with the bottom layer – with “a little bit of colored underwear” that lifts your mood as soon as you put it on.
