Hacker tools download content from Disney +, Netflix, Amazon, etc.

A hacker has published several tools on Github that can be used to download copyrighted content from Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney +, HBO Max, Apple TV +, etc.

A Github user named “Widevinedump” has published several repositories on Github for free use. With the free tools you should be able to download any copyrighted content from Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Apple TV +, Disney +, HBO, etc. It reports Torrent freak.

The code posted on Github (owned by Microsoft) is supposed to be real and actually work. “Widevine” comes from Google and is a system for digital rights management (DRM) that the streaming offers in question use to protect their content from unauthorized use and distribution.

The films and series can only be downloaded in HD resolution with the tools mentioned. If you want to have the protected content in 4K, you have to pay to “Widevinedump”. The free tools do not include the Content Decryption Module (CDM), which can be used to download 4K content. If you want to have the Content Decryption Module, you have to send an email to “Widevinedump” and ask for the price.

Torrentfreak rightly doubts that said repositories will be available on Github for a long time. In addition, the affected video streaming services are likely to take countermeasures soon. Anyone who uses the tools must expect penalties from the streaming providers.

PC-WELT advises against illegal downloads of copyrighted content.
