Haute-Loire A young Loire biker kills himself in a road exit in Dunières

A road drama occurred on Thursday around 7:10 p.m. in the town of Dunières. A 22-year-old young man from Saint-Paul-en-Cornillon (Loire) lost his life on the handlebars of his Yamaha motorcycle, in a right turn on the RD 61 at “Badaure”.

Died when paramedics arrived

According to the first observations made on the spot, the machine of the young man, who arrived from Montfaucon-en-Velay, lost adherence to the road while he was visibly overtaking another vehicle.

Too great an angle when taking the turn could be the cause of its slipping. The vehicle and its driver then crossed the opposite lane and violently crashed into the safety rail. The victim had a severed lower limb and was thrown over the railing, while the motorcycle ricocheted and ended up in the ditch.

Fourth fatal accident involving a motorized two-wheeler

Upon their rapid arrival on site, the firefighters from the rescue centers of Dunières and Sainte-Sigolène/Saint-Pal-de-Mons, as well as the team from Samu 42, could only note the death of the young Ligérien, despite their best efforts to resuscitate him.

A traffic alternation has been set up on the RD 61, during the rescue operations. The gendarmes, present on the scene, made the usual findings, to try to define the exact circumstances of the accident.

This tragic death is the fourth fatal accident involving a motorized two-wheeler on the roads of Haute-Loire in 2022.
