Uan undeclared rave party had gathered between 1,500 and 2,000 people since Saturday evening at the Col d’Arron, in the town of L’Épine, in the Hautes-Alpes, where the police were deployed, said the prefecture to AFP.

The participants arrived on site on Saturday evening and up to 500 vehicles were counted by the authorities who, for the time being, have not noted any disturbances to public order, the place of the festival located at altitude being far away. of any dwelling, nor of degradation. No medical treatment of the participants was necessary.

Alcohol and narcotics tests

About forty gendarmes were dispatched to this natural site overlooking the forest and the gendarmerie was waiting for a green light from the prosecution on Sunday to carry out blood alcohol and narcotics checks on the roads of the Hautes-Alpes and the neighboring Drôme, has still indicated the prefecture.

At midday on Sunday, the first attendees began to leave the premises and some of them indicated that the rave party was due to end in the afternoon. For their part, the gendarmes had, at this time, not yet been able to establish contact with the organizers.
