Hawkeye: Will two new Avengers teams compete in Season 2 of the Disney + series?

HAWK EYE

Disney + has not yet confirmed Season 2 of “Hawkeye”, but there are still several open storylines after the finale. The Marvel series is building two new Avengers teams!

  • A second season for the Marvels Disney + series is not a given, but the chances of a “Hawkeye” sequel are good.
  • After the season 1 finale, a few questions remain and it all boils down to a battle between two new Avengers teams!
  • In any case, a return of Kate Bishop and Yelena Belova is certain and even people believed dead live longer …

The first season of “Hawkeye” has already ended after 6 episodes and Disney + has not yet commented on whether the series will receive a second season. Of the Marvel series that have appeared so far, only “Loki” and “What If …?” Sequels confirmed, the stories of “WandaVision” and “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier” will be continued in films.

So it cannot be ruled out that all open storylines from “Hawkeye” will be taken up in other films and series, but not in season 2. We are currently assuming a 2nd season and are therefore already taking a little look into the future!

  1. The Rise of Echo & the Return of the Kingpin

  2. Jack Duquesne as a hero?

  3. Hawkeye and Black Widow: Best Enemies

  4. How’s Season 2?

The Rise of Echo & the Return of the Kingpin

Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox) was introduced as an antagonist in “Hawkeye”. She has a personal account with the ronin and seeks revenge. In episode 5, Clint (Jeremy Renner) was able to face Maya and show her that he is the ronin and that her father was tricked by the kingpin.

The kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio) was gunned down by Maya at the end of the finale, but this shot is unlikely to be fatal for him. The character is just too important to the MCU to be killed outright after just one episode.

In addition, the finale itself provides us with a clear indication that actually confirms the survival of the kingpin: we don’t see the kingpin being shot, the camera moves up before the shot is fired. And series fans know: If you don’t see the death of a character, then it’s not dead either!

That fits, because Maya has already confirmed its own series with “Echo” and her connection to the Kingpin suggests that he will also appear in “Echo” and then probably play a much more prominent role.

Maya, who has a talent for mirroring her opponents, similar to Taskmaster in “Black Widow”, could wear the ronin suit in a comic-accurate manner and thus one echo of Clint’s ronin past. But for that she would need a self-made costume, after all, Clint burns his ronin disguise in the finale

Jack Duquesne as a hero?

The whole time we onlookers were fooled into thinking Jack Duquesne (Tony Dalton) is a villain. We now know that Jack is not angry, but above all naive, although at least nobody can fool him when fighting with a sword.

In a second season of “Hawkeye” Jack could return and continue to use his talent for good, as he did in the finale. On the other hand, it is of course also possible that Jack will from now on hardly play a role and will only appear briefly as an enthusiastic LARPer.

Hawkeye and Black Widow: Best Enemies

Hawkeye and Black Widow were best friends until Natasha’s death. The end of the “Hawkeye” final indicates that Kate will henceforth also be known as Hawkeye and Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh: “Black Widow”) has already been confirmed as the new MCU Black Widow. Are we expecting a new Hawkeye / Widow friendship?

Although they fought for different goals and often against each other in season 1, Kate and Yelena get along well. In addition, Yelena has now forgiven Clint and then disappeared into an uncertain future. But Yelena actually works for Val (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), who is setting up a new team, as we know from the credits for “Black Widow” and “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier”.

So will Yelena and Kate fight on different sides? Marvel wants to set up a Young Avengers team. This is likely to be led by Kate. Yelena, on the other hand, will probably lead the Thunderbolts team.

Who are the Thunderbolts?
Black Widow: We’ll explain the post-credits scene to you!

The hit movie “Black Widow” is preparing the Disney + series “Hawkeye”. We’ll explain the scene after the credits!

The relationship between the two could amount to a rivalry similar to that between Professor X and Magneto. Enemies, but respectful and amicable. At the end of Marvel Phase 4, the two will certainly find themselves on the same page.

Hawkeye: How’s Season 2?

We’ll see a lot of Kate Bishop in the MCU and her comic book template is more suitable for a series than for a film due to an episodic structure.

It is unclear whether Jeremy Renner will remain part of the series as Clint Barton. More likely, however, is that Clint will switch back to the big screen while Kate continues the series. At least that’s the way it is in the comics.

There she moves to LA to start a new life, but she doesn’t want to really succeed. Especially since she’s still on the kingpin’s list. So we have a bright future for Kate when it comes to kicking the bad guys in the ass.
