There are times in life when everything goes wrong and that’s kind of the situation that’s going through. Hayet Abidal. The companion of the former defender of the French football team, Éric Abidal, found herself in spite of herself, caught up in the media whirlwind triggered by the attack on Kheira Hamraoui on November 4, 2021. Following the investigation police, her husband was forced to admit his extramarital relationship with the PSG player, causing the couple he had formed for more than 20 years with the mother of his five children to implode at the same time.
Hayet Abidal quickly filed for divorce and today she lives alone in the Barcelona side with her five children. Active on Instagram, she has just shared a particularly traumatic experience that she has just had. “My heart is still pounding after what just happened to me…”she writes in the preamble, before continuing: “I quietly park my car when I see a trembling lady in distress crying out for help”.
Passers-by pass by without even noticing him
One thing particularly challenges Hayet Abidal, the inaction of the people around her. “Passersby pass without even paying attention to him, I get out of my car leaving my bag and my car still running, I grab her before she faints…”, she continues. A life-saving decision on the part of the one who has a hard tooth for her future ex-husband since the situation was quickly sorted out. “She pulls herself together and tells me that she is feeling unwell and that she has to go a few meters away and begs me to accompany her (…) she thanks me for my humanity, she is even worried about the car and my bag… I leave her with a broken heart…”she concludes.
A message to raise awareness
If Hayet Abidal wanted to tell the story of this lady, it is not to show off, as she explains in a second story. “I’m not saying this for people to throw flowers at me, but for us. raise awareness of this kind of situation”she insists, before ending with the hashtag “let’s help each other”.
