Despite having left the Enfoirés many years ago, the one who was a pillar there for more than thirty years, Jean-Jacques Goldman, still remains very present in the spirit of the troupe and what it represents. The new artistic director, Anne Marcassus, further reveals to what extent the shadow of the artist is still very present on the show.
It was at the end of 2002, more than twenty years ago, that Jean-Jacques Goldman gave his last solo concert. Since then, the artist has tried to be forgotten and lead a peaceful life with his family and friends. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t leave an indelible mark on the world of music as well as on the Enfoirés troupe that he left in 2016 to hand over to the new generation.
It was in 1985 when he was contacted by Coluche after the creation of the Les Restos du coeur association, that the singer invested himself in the mission by composing a song which would become the anthem of the troop “La Restaurant Song “. Little by little at the head of the project, Jean-Jacques Goldman brings together numerous artists and media personalities to create the Enfoirés troupe, a collective made up of renowned artists which offers each year a musical show as well as a tour whose profits are donated to the association. Until 1991, he was its godfather before becoming artistic director of the show until 2016, the year he handed over and left the troupe, yet 8 years after his departure, his touch is still very much present.
