“He has to go out”: Emilia Clarke made a technician leave the set of Game of Thrones for a surprising reason

And yes, the adorable Emilia Clarke asked a technician to leave the set of “Game of Thrones” but, beware, she had her reasons…

You may not know it, but Emilia Clarke is not the only Clarke to have worked on the set of Game of Thrones: indeed, her older brother, Bennett, who also works in the entertainment industry, worked on the camera department of the flagship HBO series.

And it is he whoEmilia Clarke kicked off the set! Interviewed, alongside Kit Harington, during Thomas J. Henry’s Superhero Comic Con (via MoviePilot), the interpreter of the iconic Daenerys revealed that he asked that his brother go away during the filming of an erotic scene.

And yes, she has her family limits – unlike the characters of Game Of Thrones themselves. As she was preparing to shoot the scene in question, with Kit Harington precisely, she felt uncomfortable because of the presence of her brother on the set.

I remember the day of our sex scene and my brother was in the camera department that day. […] And he was on set. [J’ai dit à l’équipe de tournage] : ‘He has to get out of here. He can’t be here.’

The scene in question is the one between Daenerys and Jon Snow during the seventh episode of the seventh season.

Emilia Clarke talks about it herself in the video below:

Bennett Clarke now works as a second camera assistant on the Secret Invasion series which features Emilia Clarke, among others. Let’s hope the situation doesn’t happen again – that said, there’s little chance with a Marvel series for Disney+!

Game of Thrones is streaming on Prime Video with the Warner Pass.
