It’s a child of only 5 years old who dies after being hit by a splitter. A misfortune that took place in the town of Publy in the Jura. This horror scene happened along the houses of the Beauregard road in the town of Publy around 2:30 p.m.

Of course, an investigation was opened following this deadly incident. This is’manslaughter investigation. The first elements of the investigation indicate that the child was hit by a splitter. It is a man cutting wood who had notably used the machine. This in a thick fog. Note that this type of tool is used for splitting wood logs into pieces. One can easily imagine the horror of the scene.

The protagonists have yet to be heard

The authorities quickly reacted by opening an investigation. “The medical examiners are still on site. The protagonists have not yet been heard to detail the circumstances of this accident confided Lionel Pascal, prosecutor of the Jura, in Progress.

The manslaughter investigation was centrusted to the gendarmes of the brigade of Lons-le-Saunier. The latter was on site to analyze the premises in order to find any clues of this terrible accident.
