Head cut off – unknown poacher shot chamois in Tyrol

A poacher has been up to mischief in the Tyrolean Oberland in the past few days. The previously unknown perpetrator shot two chamois in Ötztal Bahnhof (Imst district). The police are now hoping for useful information.

The poacher is likely to have struck in the period between mid-December and St. Stephen’s Day. “In the Ötztal Bahnhof hunting area he shot two chamois goats with a previously unknown firearm, expertly broke them open, separated the heads and finally deposited the carcasses in the Riedern area,” says the police .
