Heinz Hoenig (72), who is seriously ill, will have an operation next Monday, May 13th. This is what his wife, Annika Kärsten-Hoenig (39), said. RTL confirmed. According to the report, the German actor star, known among other things for “Das Boot”, will have an operation on his esophagus on Monday morning. Once he has recovered from the procedure, it will be his aorta’s turn. “Heinz is fully conscious,” said Hoenig’s agent Birgit Fischer-Höper previously told the station. “He now has to wait until his values ​​become more stable again before he can have the first operation.”

Numerous donations for Heinz Hoenig

In order to cover the costs of the procedures and the recovery of Hoenig, who does not have health insurance, Ralph Siegel’s (78) agency “Siegelring” launched a fundraising campaign. The donation target, which was raised to 150,000 euros due to developments surrounding Hoenig’s health, has now been reached. On the donation website “gofundme” Almost 155,000 euros are recorded (as of Saturday, 1:30 p.m.).

Kärsten-Hoenig had it about a week ago told the “Bild” newspaper, that inflammation had spread to his entire aorta and a stent inserted into the actor in 2012 was damaged. A new stent was then inserted and Hoenig was put into an induced coma.

But two more interventions are pending. He had to undergo surgery “on the one hand because of his inflamed aorta and on the other hand because a hole was recently discovered in his esophagus,” it says on the fundraising campaign website. After Hoenig was taken out of the induced coma and informed about his health, he decided to have the operations a few days ago, according to an RTL report.

Despite the difficult situation, Hoenig appears to be combative. “Tell the people out there, I’m coming back, no matter what, I’m coming back,” he left towards the broadcaster from his wife.
