Damian Lewis and Helen Mirren team up to honor the Queen: They are said to be recording an album for the monarch.

Star Power in honor of Queen Elizabeth II (94). British actors Damian Lewis (50) and Helen Mirren (75) reportedly want to record an album together for the monarch's 95th birthday in April. That's what "The Sun" reports. The two befriended stars should share "the love and respect for the queen" and wanted to celebrate this "important birthday", the paper quotes an insider.

Lewis and Mirren also apparently want to do something good for the Queen after the past difficult days. The 94-year-old husband, Prince Philip (99), is in the hospital and her grandson Prince Harry (36) and his wife Duchess Meghan (39) just caused a tremor in the royal palace with their TV interview. The two actors' project comes "at the right time" and the two hope that "it will put a smile" on the Queen's face. The album is said to be entitled "The Music Of Kings and Queens" and will be released in June.

Celebrations in June

Damian Lewis and Helen Mirren, who won an Oscar for their portrayal of Elizabeth II in "The Queen", have also attended the celebrations for the Queen's 90th birthday at Windsor Castle. According to tradition, the Queen celebrates her actual birthday on April 21 in a private setting. She celebrates the day of honor with the public with the "Trooping the Color" parade, which this year takes place on June 12th.
