Hellgate: Redemption, a new AAA game in the Hellgate: London universe announced

Some players may still remember Hellgate: London, an action role-playing game hack’n slash released in 2007 and who was entitled to a second youth 10 years later, still without making the headlines. Its designer Bill Roper is not letting go of this universe and today unveils a new game.

With his new studio Lunacy Gameshe introduces Hellgate: Redemption, a game AAA for computers and consoles that will use theUnreal Engine 5, obviously in the same universe with an apocalyptic world filled with demons. The studio is not saying too much at the moment, it is mainly a matter of formalizing the partnership with HanbitSoft (current rights holder), but Bill Roper points out that Hellgate: London was a pioneer in the genre of looter shooterwith randomly generated levels and the use of modern technologies. We will have to wait to find out if Hellgate: Redemption will do the same, but Lunacy Games already announces that he is banking everything on gameplay and innovation, including game servers based on cloudadding:

We are retaining the gameplay and historical elements of Hellgate: London in our current design, but our intention is to create an exciting new experience that takes advantage of the many advancements the industry has seen over the past 17 years since the game’s launch original.

Hellgate: Redemption does not yet have a release date, its title is only a code name and could change by launch. In the meantime, you can find a hack’n slash very modern, Diablo IVfrom €37 on Amazon, Cdiscount And there Fnac.
