A new type of camera surveillance is currently being tested here. A minivan with a strikingly large camera tower is parked near the freeway and films every passing car. Two cameras record different perspectives.
The collected image material is evaluated by an artificial intelligence (AI). Above all, the attempt is aimed at illegal cell phone use behind the wheel. As soon as the AI recognizes that a smartphone is being held to the ear or that the driver is surfing the Internet while driving, an alarm is raised and a hefty fine is threatened.

Reasonable people will hardly object to that. This is shown by a survey included in our article. However, the AI cameras check other things about you and your vehicles at the same time.
Tried all Samsung innovations

With the Galaxy Watch 6, Samsung is introducing a new smartwatch that not only checks the water temperature, but also that of your lunch. The Galaxy Tab S9 tablet is now water resistant. And the Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 are worth a look for their unusual shape alone. And just a few days after the Unpacked event, another huge Samsung innovation is announced.
Did Homer foresee the Twitter rebrand?
I don’t know about you. But I keep stumbling upon short clips of conspiratorial music about the Simpsons’ prophetic predictions. The yellow family already had a few hits. Coincidence or is there more behind it? With a little creativity and the long running time of the series, it actually goes without saying that fiction and reality occasionally meet. Okay, the Trump presidency thing was creepy.

Twitter’s renaming to “X” made headlines this week. Appropriately, a video is circulating in which Homer looks at his cell phone – and an “X-App” can be seen on it. Years before Elon Musk came up with this plan. Was there Nostradamus in the “Simpsons” author’s room again?

Actors and writers are still on strike in Hollywood. While the strikers are standing in front of the Netflix gates with their protest signs, the streaming service is already looking for less annoying alternatives.

You can imagine a particularly elegant charging station for electric and hybrid vehicles. There is free WiFi, snacks (not free), clean sanitary facilities (probably not always). And you can pass the time until the battery is fully charged in front of a smart mirror that encourages you to exercise. It sounds really nice!
The catch: access to the Charging Lounge is only granted to Porsche drivers with a corresponding Porsche ID. So is there a risk of a two-class society when charging e-cars on the motorway?
