He was just "legendary"

One of the first prominent votes comes from Klaas Heufer-Umlauf (37), who is on Twitter reminded the entertainer with a little anecdote: "He always signed emails with 'future legend Herbert Feuerstein'. He was right!"

Also the comedian Oliver Pocher (42), who stood several times in front of the camera with Feuerstein, reported via Twitter. "Whether as a bailiff in 'Vollidiot', in 'Genial Daneben' and above all in 'Schmidtanders' … Herbert Feuerstein was legendary and it was an honor to work with him," explained Pocher.

"A master in the art of not taking himself seriously has changed dimensions", meanwhile wrote actor Armin Rohde (65) after the death of Feuerstein.

The television also mourns

Two German television stations also expressed their condolences. "RIP, Mr. Feuerstein, or rather 'Legend Herbert Feuerstein'," wrote the social media team from ProSieben on Twitter.

In a press release in which the WDR reported on Feuerstein's death, Tom Buhrow (62), the director of West German Broadcasting, had a say. "We would like to thank Herbert Feuerstein not only for 'Schmidtanders', a cult show that made television history and changed a lot," said Buhrow. "But also for his clever humor, his wonderful silliness, the intelligently thought-out anarchism and many, many extremely entertaining television and radio lessons." Feuerstein often "made us laugh. Today we are sad."

In memory of the entertainer, WDR television will show the film "Mr. Feuerstein writes his obituary. And lives 2091 days" on Wednesday from 10:15 pm. The program "Herbert Feuerstein's Obituary for Himself" will be broadcast on WDR5 from 8:04 p.m.
