At the same time, chef Louise Lennox cooked the croffle in Dublin in partnership with La Petite Boulangerie. But it was not until 2017 that his success exploded, especially in South Korea. Today, the croffle arrives in France and will delight young and old alike. On the Tik-Tok social network, it makes followers salivate since the hashtag #croffle has 169 million views. The recipe is very simple. All you have to do is buy a good croissant in your favorite bakery. A pure butter croissant is better, for example. Then you have to pass it through the waffle machine, having heated it well beforehand, for a few minutes.

An endless combination of toppings
Once your croffle is cooked, it’s time to garnish it. If you prefer savory dishes, then add feta, sun-dried tomatoes or a little guacamole, lemon and bean sprouts.
