Joker: Madness for Two will bring Joaquin Phoenix back, but Lady Gaga will also play the famous Harley Quinn. Todd Philipps, and the actress, released the first photo from the film, where we see the two characters.
Joker had been an on-screen phenomenon and Joaquin Phoenix’s performance hailed. Despite an end that seemed final, a sequel was started. Another surprise, this second opus, entitled Madness for Twocasts Lady Gaga in the role of Harley Quinn.
The famous singer, also recognized actress since the film A Star Is Bornwill take over from Margot Robbie, who has played the character until now on the big screen.
On his Instagram account, the director of the film, Todd Philipps revealed one of the first images of Madness for Two — and the very first photo where Lady Gaga is in character. She then relayed it herself on her account:

If the image was shared on the occasion of Valentine’s Day, it’s not for nothing: Harley Quinn and the Joker will live a love story – certainly out of the ordinary – in Madness for Two, like the relationship of the two characters in the comics (Harley Quinn there being generally in a relationship either with the Joker or with Poison Ivy). The title of the film, of course, already hinted at this.
This sequel will also take the form of a musical, which all the more justifies the presence of Lady Gaga, also known for her cult discography. There is, for the moment, no real synopsis for the new film from Todd Philipps, so it is not known what issues will surround the relationship between Harley Quinn and the Joker.
