According to the latter, the most educated people are those who live the most with their other half !
In 2019, men and women aged 30 to 39, with a level of education greater than or equal to Bac +2, are thus those who live the most in a couple, compared to other segments of the population: there are 70.9% male And 74.1-75.1% female graduates in cohabitation with their partner, against respectively 56.2% And 61.7% among non-graduates. And this observation is all the more more true that one goes up in the level of studies…Statistics show that the more diplomas you have, the more likely you are to be in a cohabitation. Thus, in the same year, the men not graduates are 56.2% to live with their partner, those who have the patent are 60%we go to 66.3% for those with a level CAP/BEPTHE bachelors are 67.8%… And so on.

Living together: a “diploma effect” that has been reversed over the years for women
This “diploma effect” is still more surprising among women… Today, the more qualifications they have, the longer they live with their partner ; But this has not always been the case. When we look back, we realize that it was the opposite: the most qualified women were less in concubinage than their counterparts without diploma. The figures speak for themselves: in 1990, women with a level higher than Bac +2 were 72.4% to be in cohabitation against 83.4% for those who hold the patent. In 2019, it is now the first who are the most concerned by the cohabitation with their darling: they are 75.1% at Bac +2 level and 74.1% when their level is higher than Bac +2.
