Tuesday October 17 in Here it all begins…

The Double A service turns into a fiasco

At the Institute, Lisandro is worried. He thought that by putting Teyssier’s back against the wall, the latter would not be able to refuse. Now he can’t afford to go to Canada knowing the manager will ruin his reputation with all the restaurateurs there. But Hippolyte has no intention of leaving Lisandro in this situation.

He goes to Teyssier’s office. In no way offended by the principal’s thoughts regarding his age, Hippolyte manages to convince him to let him take care of room service with the students. Then, Teyssier will have the choice to keep it or part with it.

At Double A, David confirms to Leonard and Ethan his desire to impress Deva by impressing the new maître d’. Hippolyte hears their conversation.

A little later, Lisandro officially presents each student to Hippolyte so that he can choose his butler during the service. Naturally, Lisandro suggests he choose Deva. But Hippolyte retorts that he has always been used to working with a man in this position and that he does not intend to change his habits. Despite protests from Billie who criticizes him for his misogyny, Hippolyte chooses David as butler.

If David is delighted, Billie and Laetitia try to make him understand to what extent Hippolyte has shown himself to be unfair and above all misogynistic. Even Deva admits to feeling very humiliated, while David hoped that she would be happy for him.

During the service, nothing goes right. Several customers leave the restaurant instead of continuing to wait for the dishes. There is no fluidity between the kitchen and the dining room because the dishes arrive staggered. David is completely overwhelmed. Lisandro and Hippolyte try to find out where the problem comes from. David explains that the software no longer works correctly. At the same time, Teyssier arrives.

While Teyssier places the blame on Lisandro, Hippolyte assures the director that he will be able to make up for it, particularly because he has understood the origin of the problem. Someone deliberately hacked the software to shift the orders by two ranks. He intends to find out who it is.

At the end of the service, Hippolyte brings the students together in the presence of Lisandro and Teyssier. He announces that the service will be noted and that he expects the person responsible for pirating the software to denounce himself. As he begins to distribute zeros to all the students, David ends up denouncing himself…

Hortense gains the trust of the First Years

In the park, Hortense is thinking about more traditional ideas for her lessons with the First Years. On the contrary, the Listrac chef encourages her to stay true to herself and to trust herself. She speaks with knowledge of the facts since she confused more than one at the beginning by being vegan. Today, she is respected by the entire Institute.

During her class, Hortense demonstrates to the students by preparing a wok. She then suggests to the students to take over. Jim volunteers, but quickly realizes that he can’t manage his frying pan with one hand and prepare ingredients with the other. Hortense explains that the purpose of her ping-pong exercise was to help them get used to doing two different things at the same time.

Then it’s Penelope’s turn. The young woman is doing very well, especially because she practiced a lot the day before doing the requested exercise. Malik and Jim suddenly feel stupid for having judged Hortense on her methods. Penelope, for her part, considers her teacher’s pedagogy absolutely magical. Hortense is very touched.

Proud to have finally gained the trust of the First Years, Hortense celebrates her victory with Vic and Mehdi.

Carla pays dearly for her shenanigans

During Guinot’s class, Carla and Bérénice panic and are completely behind. Their plate is definitely not up to par. But the chef agrees to give them a second chance. She suggests that they do the same exercise again at 2 p.m., at the studio. Carla and Bérénice accept, thanking her. But Bérénice reminds her friend that she is supposed to be on diving duty at that hour.

Carla finds Souleymane in the cafeteria to ask him to replace her in the dishwasher. The young man believes that she does not have the right to use him as she pleases. In fact, she only speaks to him to ask him for services. Carla admits that he is right and points out that he could at least help her so that Bérénice, who had nothing to do with it, avoids a bad grade.

Later, Carla arrives late in the kitchen to do the washing up. Rose, who has been waiting for him there for an hour already, gives him a soap. Carla declares that she had an exercise to do for Guinot’s class and that she was counting on Souleymane to replace her in diving. But this one stood him up. Shocked by his response, Rose decides to extend her punishment for another week.

After which, Carla returns to the cafeteria to confront Souleymane. The latter explains to her that he never promised her anything and that he has enough respect for himself to stop acting like a puppy. Carla promises him revenge.
