Wednesday April 17 in Here it all begins…
Anaïs arouses jealousy
After being confronted by the Armand sisters the day before at BleuPré, Teyssier accuses Claire of being the one who informed them out of simple revenge. Indeed, the director opposed the rehiring of Louis at the Institute. But he doesn’t intend to let it happen. He fully intends to convince Rose and Clotilde of the value of his project.
Witnessing the scene, Olivia is shocked that her partner really took action. She also wonders how she was able to obtain information about BleuPré when the deed of sale has not even been signed yet. Claire runs away, claiming that she found out through a former colleague.
For his part, Teyssier goes to his office to talk with Rose and Clotilde. If the latter see BleuPré as a very risky investment, furthermore far from the image of the Institute, Teyssier argues that it is on the contrary a means of innovating and acquiring a global reputation. It is certain that the students will be very motivated by the idea of having a course in hospitality. Rose and Clotilde categorically refuse to let the students get involved in their decision.
Teyssier then goes to the Institute grounds to ask Bérénice to spread the rumor of the opening of BleuPré among his comrades. Teyssier thinks that seeing how motivated the students are, Rose and Clotilde will have no other choice but to validate his project. Bérénice accepts the task. She first talks about it to Carla and Souleymane… and the rumor spreads like wildfire.
At the Workshop, all the young Master chefs talk about it with excitement. Enzo and Livio are already dreaming of being chefs of the BleuPré gourmet restaurant. Chef Guinot, who hears them, immediately puts an end to their hopes by revealing to them that Anaïs has already been chosen by Teyssier for this position.
Meanwhile, Clotilde walks with Marc in the park. She easily guesses that it was Teyssier who spoke to the students about the project to create excitement when she only saw it as a financial hit. Marc takes the liberty of defending his friend’s idea, pointing out its advantages. At the same time, Billie approaches them to have confirmation on the opening of BleuPré because she is already ready to apply.
In the cafeteria, Livio and Mehdi catch up with Anaïs who is overtaking them in line. They accuse him of going ahead of everyone – in every sense of the word. They believe that she is not legitimate in obtaining management of the BleuPré restaurant given that Meyer did not judge it to be up to the standard of his own restaurant in Bordeaux. They are convinced that Teyssier acts out of favoritism and nothing more. The director arrives at that moment, justifying his choice by recalling that Anaïs won the Vatel Prize and managed Double A. He accuses Livio and Mehdi of being jealous of her talent.
In the park, Rose and Clotilde discuss the situation with Claire. Clotilde admits to having changed her mind about BleuPré. Rose is also tempted by the adventure, especially after seeing the enthusiasm of the students. Claire emphasizes, however, that most of the Master’s chefs find it unfair that Anaïs was automatically chosen to run the BleuPré restaurant. Indeed, they would all be good candidates for the position.
Back in the management office, Rose and Clotilde announce to Teyssier that they agree to sign the deed of sale of BleuPré on the condition that Anaïs is not the head of BleuPré. They want to organize a culinary competition with all the volunteer chefs at the position and so that the winner legitimately wins the position…
Kelly is ready for the Coupe de France
In the park, Kelly, who has been pre-selected for the Coupe de France de Cuisine, asks Myriel where the event will take place this year. The deputy director knows nothing about it since it will be Chief Delobel who will announce it himself in 15 days.
In any case, Kelly is looking forward to participating alongside Ambre and Malik – the same brigade as the previous year. Kelly therefore sends a message to Ambre to warn her. She tells him that unfortunately she cannot be his second because the chef of the restaurant where she works ultimately did not give her a break. Kelly then asks Lionel to replace her. But the latter doesn’t see himself working every day with Malik given what happened last year.
In the cafeteria, Lionel is thinking about a second one for his girlfriend. She already has someone in mind: Jasmine. Salomé, who hears them talking, then proposes her candidacy. Kelly is delighted. She hadn’t proposed to him thinking she was too busy.
At the Workshop, Kelly and his brigade meet in front of chef Landiras who will train them for the Coupe de France. He wants to perfect their technique and maintain their motivation. They start with a baking review program. The pace looks intense.
Solal joins the singles club
At the CDI, Billie takes advantage of Solal being there with David to come and congratulate him on his current progress. She has heard great things about the tangerine chicken he made for Chef Leroy. The young girl hopes that Solal will stop counting his calories, as she saw him doing. Solal then opens up about his eating disorders: he explains that he suffers from orthorexia, or the obsession with eating healthy food. But he says he’s starting to feel better. David and Billie are proud of him.
In class, Hortense has the Second Years working on aphrodisiac recipes. If Thibault wants to go with ingredients such as passion fruit, ginger or oysters, Solal rather wants to go for less common foods such as cocoa, pink pepper or fig, accompanying a filet mignon. Hortense allows herself to ensure that he does not force himself to cook food that he does not feel capable of eating, confident that he has noticed his eating disorders. Solal declares that he is enjoying cooking again. But Hortense really advises him to go at his own pace.
Later, Solal works on his recipe at the studio, while Maya comes to share the place to cook too. She is interested in what he cooks, even if she doesn’t believe for a second that foods can be aphrodisiacs. As Solal is convinced, Maya tastes his dish and plays a joke on him by pretending to want him. When he realizes this, Maya suggests he join the singles club she formed.
At the city center café, Solal joins Léonard and Malik who are part of the club, as well as David who has decided to be part of it too. While Maya chats with a man, the group of friends establishes some club rules: no sleeping with each other, no sex and no attachment. When Maya joins them, she informs them that a 90s party is being organized in the village. Everyone is up for going, even Solal.
