Here it all starts: “We can expect very big adjustments between Clotilde and Joachim” reveals Janis Abrikh

His arrival in the series, the reunion with Clotilde… Janis Abrikh, the interpreter of Joachim, confided in the microphone of Allociné on what awaits his character during the next episodes of “Here everything begins”.

Allociné: What attracted you to Joachim when you arrived on Here it all starts ?

Janis Abrikh: He arrived with a family connection with Sarah Fitri who played the role of Marta. And that’s something you can hold on to when you’re a very family person. And then Sarah like Elsa Lunghini sent me a message just before I joined the series. Suddenly, it put me in little slippers to work. With Sarah, we naturally had this relationship of big brother and little sister. It was very nice to play.

On a personal level, Joachim is an independent person, with values and principles. He is very hardworking, helpful and attentive. He is also a caring and empathetic person. These are values that I like and with which I can identify. I am not diametrically opposed to Joachim.

At the start, was your character destined to stay in the series?

No way. Basically, I had twelve days on Here everything begins. I was there for this intrigue in which Joachim had to help Marta to create an ephemeral restaurant. During this period, he fell in love with the magnificent Clotilde. And in the end, the relationship with Clotilde worked well just like that with Marta. So good, in fact, that some people on the outside really thought it was my sister. I also think that people really liked the relationship and the osmosis that there is with Elsa. Thanks to that, I came back punctually before Joachim took up a position as technical director at the institute. So it was a nice surprise. Each time I was invited back to the castle to play it was a real pleasure. And it still is.

So your character is now destined to last?

We’ll see (laughs). We are in emotional and affective turmoil with Clotilde. What is complicated is that she is somewhat the owner of the Auguste Armand Institute. There is a lot of affection. All the decisions that Joachim made from the start of his romance were always in the interest of Clotilde’s well-being. If it becomes too hard for her to have Joachim in this environment, in my opinion he will have no difficulty in doing something else because that is what he has always done as a freelancer. The fact that he accepted this post of technical director, it is only by emotional greed because the money was secondary. He accepted to earn a less good living for love.

Were you surprised by your character’s escort history?

Yes ! I think that surprises and that it actually surprised everyone because he is someone who is very manual and very pragmatic. In difficulty, he is an intelligent person who makes very thoughtful decisions quickly. There are two types of people in life: those who find problems and those who find solutions. Joachim belongs to the second category. If you have to do things that aren’t necessarily brilliant for him, he does it as long as it’s for the well-being of others. He never did these things for fun. So indeed, he was in an environment where he had the possibility of meeting pleasant women who made him live somewhat privileged moments economically, but that was not his main objective. His primary objective has always been to help Marta financially and to be there at all costs.

There is a form of sacrifice. Even in the beginning of his relationship with Clotilde, he behaved according to what she gave him. He did not want this story to impact Clotilde, her situation and her couple. He wanted to save her from all this. As long as the people he loves live well, he is ready to suffer.

Clotilde will return to the institute, how will the reunion with Joachim go?

The reunion is highly anticipated on both sides because there is so much love and affection between them. There is a lot of misunderstanding and things left unsaid too. It’s a breakup which is extremely bad for Clotilde, but she’s a very intelligent and loving woman, so she could take another step towards him to try to understand. For his part, Joachim preferred to tell her that he had cheated on her when this is not the case. He just took the wrong trajectory in the past and he didn’t accept it. Again, it’s a matter of love. He was certainly afraid of hurting her. In any case, I hope that this reunion will be very pretty.

Joachim will hide from Clotilde that he resumed his escort activity during his stay in Australia…

It’s all about love. Seeing Clotilde again and this possibility of a future with her, he absolutely doesn’t want to bring it up on the carpet because it’s not the right time. He secretly hopes that it goes down the drain. Lying, even if morality condemns it, is still something that was done so as not to cause pain. I think in her interest, he thought it might be better not to bring it to light because it would have hurt Clotilde more and she might have decided to leave him. for life.

How will Clotilde react when she discovers the truth?

We can expect some really big conversations and tweaks. Clotilde is a woman of character who knows her values and her principles. She knows what she has to offer. Feeling betrayed twice in a short time is something extremely complicated to hear even if Joachim wanted to do that for good reasons. If it had to be done again, I think he would have done the same because it is his sister. In these moments, he no longer reasons with the head but with the heart. So, yes, it will indeed be a bit complicated.

Is reconciliation possible?

There’s going to be a big tune-up on both sides. Joachim and Clotilde are very intelligent so if there is a decision to be made for the good of both of them, I imagine it will be made.

This plot also involves the Teyssier family and we imagine that it will eventually become known that Lola has paid for Joachim’s services…

I really enjoyed playing with Sandra Valentin and François-Dominique Blin, the interpreters of Lola and Philippe Teyssier. Indeed, that puts Joachim in an extremely complex and delicate position. But still guided by his desire to do well, he hopes to pick up the pieces. It’s kind of his job to fix things, but for once, will he get there? All of this context is kind of awkward but everyone in this story has some form of legitimacy. That’s why you can’t blame absolutely anyone. Whether Clotilde, Lola, Philippe or even Joachim, they are always guided by a question of love.

Doesn’t Joachim risk losing his place at the institute when Emmanuel (Benjamin Baroch) will hear the news?

Highly possible. Teyssier is someone with a sharp edge who sometimes takes decisions that are a bit hasty. But he is also a very intelligent person. If he does, it’s because he feels that, having weighed the pros and cons, it’s the best thing to do. His decision will serve his personal interest as Emmanuel Teyssier and professional interest as Director of the Institute.

Will Joachim stop his escort activity?

Joachim’s opinion on this escort past is very clear and very clear cut. This is something he did not out of passion but out of necessity. He realized that other solutions could have been offered to him if he had put his ego aside. Except surprise, it is therefore not at all an environment in which he wishes to return.

Séverine is not going to try to make him change his mind?

Time and time again, Séverine tried to do this. Joachim is an intelligent and competent person in his profession, he has other possibilities. Except that there, he had an opportunity to recover a large sum of money to pay for his sister’s studies. Considering the context, it was the quickest and most accessible solution for him. Now that he sees the consequences on his relationship with Clotilde, I don’t think he will go in that direction again.

Can we hope to see Marta return to the series or soon discover another member of Joachim’s family?

You can hope for absolutely anything you want and I hope so too. If there were any conversations, unfortunately I didn’t hear about them. And if I had heard of it, I wouldn’t have told you anything (laughs). I absolutely don’t know, but all I can tell you is that I had a lot of fun shooting with Sarah Fitri, who is a great actress and a great girl. From the start, we had this fraternal relationship which took hold. It also happens to us to see each other outside and we always have this relationship.

Will we see other members of Joachim’s family? I don’t know but I also hope so because it’s always interesting to work with new actors who have colors and energies to bring.

I’m lucky to shoot most of my scenes with Elsa Lunghini who is an incredible, bright, sincere, funny and breathtaking actress. The list is non-exhaustive. For me, if the scenes with her have so much intensity and credibility, it’s because when you play with Elsa, you have absolutely nothing to do. She gives you so much that all you need to do is let yourself go and play.

What do you hope for Joachim’s future? Do you have any special wishes for him?

In a different production, I could have had particular inclinations but here, I leave the creativity to the authors because they always manage to surprise us. It’s very interesting.

We all get along very well. We all live in the same area and everyone is super nice. All the singularities make it oddly match. Inevitably, there are then some with whom the heart connects more and with whom one wishes to turn more.

Do you have other projects apart from Here everything begins that you would like to tell us about?

Last year, I shot on a few projects alongside Here Everything Begins. I had a few days on season 2 of Emily in Paris in particular. Playing with partners like Lily Collins, Ashley Park and Camille Razat is really something very striking. And it was very nice.

I also shot in Meurtre à Amiens directed by Vincent Trisolini with Grégoire Bonnet and Joyce Bibring. That too was really, really cool.

And then there is a unitary for France Télévisions called Poulets Grillés. It is the adaptation of the eponymous novel by Sophie Hénaff with Barbara Cabrita. It’s fun and very exhilarating to watch. At the start of the school year, we will shoot the second opus and we can’t wait to start.
