Monday, May 8 in Here it all begins…

Theo plans to turn the page

On the way to the Institute, Anaïs tells Salomé that she spent a very good weekend with Lisandro talking about their future marriage. Since seeing Marta and Théo kissing, Anaïs feels more ready to move on and focus on her relationship with her fiancé. Salome, however, is a little skeptical.

Meanwhile, Constance hesitates to accept a three-month osteopathy course in Paris. Théo and Charlène encourage him. Before her brother returns to work at the Institute, Charlène enjoys a moment with him. She is obviously aware of the kiss he exchanged with Marta. But Theo says nothing is really clear to him at this point.

At Double A, Lisandro offers Anaïs to hire someone to organize their wedding, which she thinks is a good idea. The master of the room is reassured to see her so enthusiastic about the preparations, he who believed for a moment that she had accepted his request just to please him.

For her part, Charlène tells Jude that her brother will finally manage to forget Anaïs thanks to Marta. She therefore proposes to her friend not to perform the Double A service so that Theo replaces him with Marta and can get closer to her. Jude lets himself be convinced.

In full midday service, Theo is lagging behind. When Marta offers him her help to second him, his first response is a refusal. But when the young woman immediately finds the solution to a sauce problem, he ends up accepting.

Once the desserts have been launched, Theo thanks Marta for her precious help. They then learn that a customer doesn’t like papaya for dessert. Théo remembers that he already wanted to replace this fruit with mango thanks to an idea from Anaïs. But he no longer remembers his exact recipe and prefers to drop the case.

Later, Anaïs and Théo bump into each other by chance in the vegetable garden greenhouse. As she helps him to grab some grass located high up, the young woman takes the opportunity to broach the subject of his kiss with Marta. Theo retorts that she has no right to be jealous after what she told him at the swamps. Anaïs admits that she didn’t mean what she said, adding that she still did well since he obviously moved on. Theo says it’s not that simple, then leaves.

He finds Jude in the kitchen to confide in him. His friend feels that Anaïs is playing with him and that he should focus on other relationships instead. He also reveals that it was Charlene’s idea to drop him during the service so that Marta replaces him. Jude suggests letting him go again the next day so he can see what it might be like. Theo admits he can’t keep waiting for Anaïs to change her mind…

Solal volunteers to assist Rose

A publisher contacted Teyssier to tell him of his desire to publish a book on the chefs who work at the Institute. Assigned to write it, Rose is happy to be able to extend her father’s legacy through portraits and recipes from the school. Antoine shares his joy. Rose then thinks of recruiting a 1st year student to assist her in her new task.

She therefore goes after her sister’s course at the Atelier in order to present the idea to the 1st years. Most turn out to be interested, which does not reassure Solal. The latter thus proposes to the director of the Master to decide between them on their motivation. Rose therefore encourages them to give her a cover letter by the end of the day.

Later, seeing Solal apply himself to writing his cover letter, Lionel gently makes fun of him through innuendoes about his crush. Solal stands up and denies en bloc.

He then goes to the management office to ensure that his cover letter has been received. Rose confirms it. Solal takes the opportunity to mention what he forgot to write, in particular his writing skills. Antoine, who is also present, understands that he has come to sell himself as the perfect student for this project. Rose says she takes it into account. Reassured, Solal leaves.

Thomas watches Lenglart

At the studio, Kelly is preparing for the next 1st year class with Lenglart. But the latter quickly notices that her assistant is not concentrated. Kelly admits that she has trouble accepting his remonstrances, like last week on her blanquette, when she has the impression of giving her all.

Lenglart advises her not to take her remarks personally, then suggests replacing her with another student if she doesn’t feel like working with a chef as demanding as her. Kelly defends herself, assuring that she will get there. She then chooses the three ingredients around which the students will have to work: mushrooms, Comté and chicken fillets.

Meanwhile, Laetitia confides in Thomas that their daughter hasn’t been well all weekend, following a problem with Lenglart. She therefore asks him to find out about his colleague to check her behavior towards Kelly.

In class, Lenglart tasks the 1st years with producing a dish around the three ingredients chosen by Kelly in just 30 minutes. At the same time, Thomas goes to the Workshop claiming to have forgotten a robot. He takes the opportunity to observe the scene.

Kelly presents her own dish to 1st years: chicken maki cordon bleu on a mushroom coulis. After studying his plate, Lenglart declares that this is the example not to do. Indeed, Kelly missed her mushrooms. Lenglart exposes his mistake to the students. Only Samia defends Kelly considering the time she had for such a technical recipe. When the 1st years get to work, Kelly starts her plate again as well.

Thomas then assures Laetitia and Lionel that Lenglart’s behavior is in no way inappropriate or worrying. For him, his attitude towards Kelly proves that she wants to help him progress.
