High incidence value – exit controls in the Liezen district are getting closer

In Styria, there could soon be exit controls for the first time due to the high corona numbers (675 new cases were added on Sunday alone, more than 6150 Styrians are actively infected). Then residents are only allowed to leave a district with proof that they have been vaccinated, recovered or have just been tested. The focus is on Liezen, which has the lowest vaccination rate in Styria.

In the Liezen district, the limit for exit controls is a 7-day incidence of 500 new infections (calculated for 100,000 inhabitants) – on Monday, according to data from the Ages health agency, the Ennstal was already 540! If the level remains as high in the coming days (which is to be assumed based on the development), the country should prescribe controls.

The second “worry area” is Weiz, which has an even higher 7-day incidence at 579. Since the vaccination rate is higher, controls only come from a value of 600. This could be reached on Tuesday.

Voitsberg and Murau are in the best position
It looks comparatively better in the rest of the Styrian districts: Leibnitz and Southeast Styria have a value of over 400. The values are lowest at 166 in Voitsberg and 160 in Murau.
