The star of the TF1 newscast has been on the small screen since the end of the 1980s. After winning the Jean-d’Arcy scholarship, intended for young journalists, Gilles Bouleau was propelled to the editorial staff of TF1. Curious, the boy has yet tried to access the tvbut his father found amazing technique to dissuade him:When we went on vacation to Corsica, my parents rented a house where there was a television. Besides, my father told me one day, when I was 6 years old: ‘Attention: the announcer, she sees everything you do!’ I was completely freaked out. I thought for a long time that Denise Fabre was watching me!”

Gilles Bouleau: a discreet journalist

Away from television when he was younger, Gilles Bouleau, now famous, wanted to protect one’s own children. “I am of a discreet nature. From the start, I erected barriers to protect my wife and two daughters”, he explained in an issue of Télé 7 Jours published in January 2022. And to add: “I never wanted them to be exposed or bothered.” The happy dad managed not to impact the daily life of his offspring thanks to their geographic location : “They grew up in England and the United States and watched mainly Anglo-Saxon programmes.And to continue: “Today, they consume a large number of series, such as La Casa de papel. Me, I avoid following them on this path, because I know it’s very addictive!”
