Are Prince Harry and his father King Charles III irretrievably angry? New revelations report a meeting under high tension between the father and his son which leaves room for doubt.
As soon as Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral was over, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made the decision to leave London to return to California, where they have resided for just over two years now. This decision had caused trouble in 2020, the couple refusing to be part of the active members of the royal family. What had also earned him to be stripped of his royal titles the following year. Since, tensions are high between several members of the royal family and the Sussexes, as we could see during these funerals despite the efforts made by each side. So much so that several highlights suggest that Prince Harry has been set aside, even snubbed. For example, he was not invited to the state dinner hosted by Buckingham on Sunday, September 18, the day before the state funeral. This great reception had brought together many leaders and several personalities around the Charles III. Did the new king want to keep his son at a distance?
Relations would be icy between Charles and Harry. Moreover, the account of a meeting kept secret until now is a new testimony of these dissensions. It’s Katie Nichols who talks about it in her new book The New Royalssome excerpts of which are relayed by the DailyMail. According to this, Harry and his wife Meghan Markle met Charles III, at the time Prince of Wales, last spring. The couple had made a stopover in England on their way to The Hague (Netherlands) to attend the Invictus Games, a competition reserved for soldiers injured in combat. Charles would then have asked his son for a meeting with their wives Meghan Markle and Camilla Parker Bowles, now queen consort. And that interview wouldn’t have gone so well for everyone.…
Soon explosive revelations?
The Sussexes would indeed be arrived late and would finally have granted only a quarter of an hour to their parents. What’s more, despite the fact that they are all “warmly greeted”Camilla would have been stunned by the attitude of Harry and Meghan who had asked whata third person is present during this meeting to maintain a peaceful balance. “Harry showed up with accolades and the best of intentions and said he wanted to clear things up. He even suggested they get a mediator to try to work things out, which left Charles somewhat perplexed” reported a family friend, claiming that Camilla had some “spit out his tea”. Unlikely? The queen consort is said to have felt that this request “was ridiculous”, “that they were a family and that they were going to settle this between themselves”.
Other anecdotes are expected in the memoirs that Prince Harry is currently preparing. According to several British tabloids, the explosive revelations that the youngest son of King Charles III is about to make could shatter attempts at reconciliation between the Sussexes and the royal family. The book is expected by the end of the year., and a few months later a documentary series retracing the story of Harry and Meghan will appear on Netflix. What does Buckingham think?
