H&M: businesswoman Helena Saxon to join the board

(CercleFinance.com) – Helena Saxon, a Swedish businesswoman, is expected to join the board of directors of H&M following the group’s next general meeting, scheduled for May 3.

Aged 53, Helena Saxon started her career as a financial analyst in London at Goldman Sachs before joining the Swedish investment company Investor AB, where she became financial director in 2015.

If her appointment is approved by the group’s shareholders, she will replace Niklas Zennström, who decided not to seek a new mandate in order to concentrate on his own companies and foundations.

The renewal of the six other directors currently making up the board of directors will be submitted to the shareholders, as will that of chairman Karl-Johan Persson.
