Holidays in Berlin: these are the most beautiful campsites in the capital

1. DDC campsite Gatow, Kladower Damm

Camping Gatow on Kladower Damm in the southwest of the capital offers an ideal starting point for exploring Berlin and Potsdam. Because with the bus that leaves directly in front of the campsite, it is about 45 minutes into the city.

The site is only 500 meters from a bathing spot on the Havel – 2.5 kilometers from the jetty for excursion boats. There is also a bike path past the campsite. The nearest shopping facility, the Kladow shopping mile, is only 1.5 kilometers away.

The 120 stands are located in a meadow area surrounded by forest. The sanitary building with individual showers and wash booths, baby room and cooking and washing facilities is located in the center. The bread service as well as a kiosk and a snack take care of the catering.

2nd DDC campsite Kladow, Krampnitzer Weg

The second DDC campsite is also in Kladow, in the southernmost part of the Spandau district. The surrounding area is calm and forested, the two bathing lakes Groß Glienicker See and Sacrower See are only a few minutes' walk away – ideal for everyone who wants to combine a city and beach holiday.

The location is also interesting for cyclists, because it is located directly on the former Berlin Wall, where the 160-kilometer Wall Cycle Path also leads. It is five minutes to the bus stop for trips into the city, and the nearest ship landing for trips to Berlin or Potsdam is 2.5 kilometers away.

The 150 pitches with electricity and WiFi are located in a meadow area with hedges, tall trees, a playground, a sanitary building, a shop and cooking facilities. The club house with its cozy sun terrace serves regional food.

Tip: The Karls Erlebnisdorf amusement park, just 18 kilometers away, with a farmer's market, many rides and a roller coaster, as well as a candy factory, offers fun for the whole family.

3rd Camping Krossinsee, Berlin-Schmöckwitz

Close to town and nature in one: the Krossinsee campsite gives you that holiday feeling. Because the meadow area with 260 parking spaces is located directly on the lake with its own swimming area and even a port that also lends motor boats, pedal boats and kayaks.

The "Kross in" is located directly on the footbridges, a chic restaurant in a modern wooden building including a large lakeside terrace – the menu features a colorful mix of dishes – from Caesar salad and burgers to Wiener schnitzel and beef fillet.

In addition: a modern sanitary block, a small grocery store with drinks, snacks and fresh bread rolls as well as a lovingly designed adventure playground for children. The center of Berlin is about 27 kilometers away.
