Mid-range cell phones are now a dime a dozen. In order to stand out from the many different devices, a manufacturer has to have created a really good model. This is exactly the case with the Honor X40.
Honor X40: Lots of features for little money
If you are currently looking for a mid-range smartphone, then the Samsung Galaxy A53 (test) or Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro+ (test) will definitely come to mind. Both great phones, but Honor has unveiled a real value for money with the X40. That 6.67-inch AMOLED display is rounded on both sides and supports 120 Hz. This makes it look like a much more expensive smartphone. The fingerprint sensor is integrated in the display and the well-known Snapdragon 695 is used, which has up to 12 GB RAM and 256 GB internal memory.
Several cameras are installed on the back of the Honor X40, including a 50 MP main camera. There is an 8 MP camera on the front. Of the The battery is very large with a capacity of 5,100 mAh and can also be charged quickly with 40 watts. Despite the large battery, the Honor cell phone is very thin at 7.9 mm and comparatively light at 175 grams for its size. Android 12 is used as the operating system.

Honor X40: price and availability
The Honor X40 has so far only been presented for China. It will appear there on September 23 in several storage variants. The model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage costs only 1,499 yuan. That’s the equivalent of just 214 euros. With the equipment, the cell phone is a real price-performance hit, which will hopefully also find its way to Europe and thus Germany. However, there is currently no information on this. Since Honor is not affected by the US sanctions, the Google services and apps would be here should it find its way to us. The smartphone would definitely be an asset to the market.
